Answered Prayers, Wedding Date Set!

We had one week where Dale, J and I would be together before leaving on our trip. I hoped, and prayed, that God would provide two things: a dress and a venue. He gave us both. All glory to Him for these gifts. If it had not happened, we would still be so thankful for all our many blessings. Now, everything else we need to do can be tackled step by step over the coming months.

Today is Friday. Monday through Thursday of this week we visited seven venues from New Braunfels to Liberty Hill, and we had a two-hour dress appointment at Coreena’s in Georgetown. All of it was so much fun! Not only did God bless our schedule but gave us a joyful experience – no stress or discord.

On Monday, our busiest day, it was a large crew. Dale was able to join us because it was a holiday, Jennifer (the groom’s mom) joined us, as well as C, and our granddaughter. On Wednesday, for the dress appointment, our group expanded to include Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Michelle. The whole process went so smoothly and she loved the dress you picked out. Afterwards we enjoyed lunch at Roots Bistro on the Square.

By Thursday, we concluded our venue visits, and after much discussion with her betrothed, J selected Morgan Creek Barn in Dripping Springs. We signed the contract, paid the deposit, and set the date … APRIL 15, 2023!

Big events like this command a lot of thought, planning and patience. I pray the entire process will go as smoothly as this week.
