Our Accommodations for July Through October 2022

We have officially booked all of our accommodations for our first leg of the Moon River journey! When looking for places to stay we looked for our own space with wireless internet, a work area for Dale, full kitchen, outside space, and hopefully a washer and dryer. We also wanted to be pretty close to a decent-sized town. I believe we have selected good places. We scanned the photos carefully and read the reviews. Right now we are planning to be back in Texas in November, then head out again in early 2023 for the West Coast.

The adventure begins! We plan on heading out of Flower Mound on Wednesday, June 29.

July will be spent in Asheville, North Carolina. Our apartment is above the garage and has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s a short walk into town. We plan on spending a lot of time on and around the Blue Ridge Parkway, seeing waterfalls, walking trails and visiting the Biltmore Mansion.

August will be spent in Woodbridge, Virginia. We will have an entire townhome with three bedrooms and two and a half baths on three levels. We will be 23 miles from the center of Washington DC. We plan to visit DC, Arlington, Alexandria, Marine Corps Museum, Chesapeake Beach, and much more! We also want to spend one weekend at the Gettysburg Battlefield in Pennsylvania.

September will be spent in Arlington, Massachusetts. We will have a one bedroom apartment, which is part of this historic home. It is located near the Mystic River. It is 30 minutes from downtown Boston. We plan on visiting Boston, Salem, Martha’s Vineyard, Plymouth and as many more sites as we can!

October will be spent in Saco, Maine. This is a one bedroom, one bathroom loft located down a country road just 10 minutes from the coast and 23 minutes to Portland. We are planning on seeing a lot of lighthouses, Acadia National Park, and the beautiful Fall colors. We also plan to visit White Mountain National Forest.
