Goodbye Summer!
It’s the beginning of September but the temperatures haven’t gotten the memo! We’ve been enduring triple digit heat for weeks, but I think we may get down to 95 tomorrow. Yay. 😐
I haven’t posted an update all summer, nevertheless, life’s ups and downs have not ceased. In my last entry we were just coming off the excitement of our granddaughters high school graduation, and shelling out “dough” for a van to be converted to a camper. Now, three months later, our granddaughter has started classes at Baylor and our van is sitting in our driveway.
Enjoy these highlights of the summer.

Our oldest granddaughter started classes at Baylor last week. She is only an hour from us, and she came and spent the night Saturday! I’m excited for her and for us, as we enjoy this new season of her life. I’m hoping she’ll come see us when she needs a break. We will certainly be coming up there to see the campus and maybe a couple of football games.

Our youngest grandchild continues to make us laugh and tired! Ha! She stays with us often. She’s coming over this evening to spend the night and all day tomorrow with us. Nana, her other grandmother, will be hanging out as well.

Our grandson started 7th grade and is doing very well on the Eagle football team. I’m hoping we can get up to north Texas soon to see him play.
There were a handful of very difficult times for us in recent weeks, but the hardest has been losing a friend (our daughter-in-law’s father). I’m glad for the times we had together and look forward to seeing him again one day.

I hope to give my full attention to our new camper van in my next post. We are taking it down to the Texas coast this weekend. This will be our third camping trip and the longest distance yet. We are testing things out before our trip to North Carolina later this year.
