The story telling took place at an observatory out in the country.Our emcee for the evening started things off.We enjoyed music in addition to poetry, stories and a few jokes.Dale enjoys a gingersnap from the snack bucket as it passed by."Our" house.Our street in Grand Rapids.I bought two watercolors from this artist at the farmer's market. She was born in Texas!Beautiful, bright vegetables at the farmer's market.This is my first time to see this kind of peas without opening a can.Beautiful wildflowers seem to grow year around in Michigan.So many blueberries at the farmer's market.We ate dinner in the Rosa Parks Park in downtown Grand Rapids one evening.All you need is love, and God is love.Cloudy day on the Rapid River.A pretty good disc golf course near our house.Such awesome form! And his throw is good too!A colorful display of our lunch one day.Enjoying breakfast at the neighborhood coffee ship before church.A pleasant porch view.After spending the day at the beach we enjoyed some snacks on the front porch of our Airbnb. It was fun saying hi to the neighbors walking by like we owned the house!Garfield Disc Golf Course has beautiful, big pine trees! We played three times will in Grand Rapids.The Wealthy Street Bakery was our favorite hangout.The bakery also serves pizza, so we tried one out after work one day.The table to the right of the doors was our table.Our neighborhood while in Grand Rapids.We walked quite a bit in the mornings and evenings.The church we attended in Grand Rapids, Cornerstone Church.Veen Observatory near Lowell, Michigan.The Veen Observatory opens their doors to the public, so we went.The observatory has two Ash Domes This one contains a 16-inch Schmidt Cassegrain. Whatever that is!Dale looks through a homemade telescope.They worked for a while to get this telescope focused on the star cluster they wanted to see. Related
