Rapid City, South Dakota – June 2025

Rapid City, South Dakota served as our base for exploring nearby national parks like Badlands National Park and Mount Rushmore, as well as the wider Black Hills area. The town is popular for its unique blend of natural attractions and cultural experiences, and is known for being the "City of Presidents," because of life-size bronze statues of U.S. presidents throughout downtown.

All of the US presidents are on display throughout Rapid City.

After our Black Hills drive we had an early dinner at restaurant.

Both the pizza and salad were delicious.

There is an alley in town known for its graffiti.

We attended Rock Point Church the first weekend in town.

There is a great disc golf course here.

For the first time in our 30-something marriage I made Dale Spam for breakfast. He has been wanted it for a while!

Local coffee shop, Harriett & Oak, is a good place to work.

We finally found Pres. Ronald Reagan, Dale's hero, among all the statues in downtown Rapid City.
