Easter Weekend 2022
It was a beautiful weekend and so enjoyable. It’s good to spend time with friends and family, even though we missed having the Rusks with us.
The weekend started off with a community-wide Good Friday service at Old Settlers Park. It was a beautiful evening a good turnout. J had arrived earlier in the day and joined us. Our friend Allen also accompanied us to the service. Every where we looked there were people from our church, Central Baptist. It’s like a huge family reunion! After the service we went back to our house for a Seder Meal which Allen, who is Jewish, lead us through. Our friend Ben, Sarah and Dylon also joined us.
Saturday morning Dale, J and I colored Easter eggs. I’ve always loved the traditional method of coloring eggs. The smell of vinegar always reminds me of Easter.

A little after noon family and friends began arriving. We spent some time at the pool even though it was cloudy, and the water a bit cold. Even baby John participated. It was his first pool experience and he was such a good boy! Afterwards we headed back to the house for a few games and to get ready for supper.
Tom and Susan, and Carol and Richard, joined us for supper. Dale grilled some chicken and sausage to go with all the sides everyone had provided. The dining room was busting at the seams!
After dinner we hid Easter eggs. It’s not every day that you see an all-adult egg hunting event. It was fun to watch. Speaking of watching, see all the fun in this video!
We attended Easter service Sunday morning then enjoyed lunch at Rudy’s. It was the perfect last Easter weekend at our Sundrop home.
