“Two-day” is Palindrome Day! 2-22-22

People are pretty excited about today being 2-22-22 on a “Twosday” And, in about 19 minutes it will be 2:22 pm. So that’s cool too (or should I say two). This morning I thought about what Exodus 2:22 might say since it is the second book of the Bible, and there is indeed a 22nd verse in chapter 2. Hold on… wait for it… it says, “Zipporah gave birth to a son, and Moses named him Gershom, saying, “I have become a foreigner in a foreign land.” Uh hum. Not quite what I was hoping for. Ha!

Earlier this week the verse of the day was Psalms 46:10, “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” When I read this God encouraged me that even though the world is chaotic, even here in the United States, I only need to be still because He is God and He WILL be exalted among the nations and the entire earth! His plans will prevail.

When I consider both Exodus 2: 22 and Psalms 46:10 together I am reminded that I am indeed just a visitor on this earth, a sojourner, a temporary resident. My king, my hope, is the creator of every living thing and one day, “As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”

So, we’ve got that to look forward two.
