The End of June
It’s hard to believe tomorrow is the first day of July. June was an eventful month in some aspects and very low key in others.
J was here at the first of the month and we had the opportunity to have her new boyfriend, J, over for dinner on June 2. He lives in North Carolina but is from San Antonio. He was home visiting his family and to see J. Glad we got to meet him. Z’s grandparents had a family reunion that seemed to be a lot of fun.

I attended my first slumber party since high school! My friend Shari celebrated her 60th birthday by having myself, Brenda Gilbert, Kimberly and her daughter Amy over for a sleep over. It was her birthday but she treated us like royalty. It was a fun event for sure.

The following week J headed off to NC and I helped out at VBS. It was also Michelle’s final week as an assistant principal. She is now officially retired! At the end of the week, we treated our friends, James and Emily, to dinner and a photo shoot. She is expecting a baby in August. We ate at Blue Corn Harvest then headed to the San Gabriel park for photos. It was a lot of fun. Here is one of my favorites.

That Sunday Dale and I headed of to our camping trip at Cedar Breaks. A headed off to her first youth camp. She had a great time at Camp Zephyr. I also had the opportunity to have lunch with my former coworkers, Brittany, Raissa and Cheryl, at First Watch in Georgetown. I have breakfast with Cheryl tomorrow as well. She and I meet once a month.

Father’s Day
That weekend was Father’s Day weekend. On Friday night we had Dale’s parents and Michelle over for dinner. D joined us as well. We played games and watched a few home videos. On Saturday we spent the day with the Chambers. We had breakfast at Cafe Java then swam at our pool. We finished the day watching a movie. AM came over as well. On Sunday we attended Deanna Joy’s baptism at Anderson Mill Baptist church. What a great way to end the week! J also arrived home from NC on Sunday. The following day she, Dale and I spent the day together beginning with breakfast at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls, followed by going deep into the Longhorn Caverns and finished off with a swim in Lake LBJ.

The following week was uneventful. We took care of our broken garage door as well as got a quote to replace our roof because of hail damage. On Thursday J headed up to Denton to prepare for her trip to Colorado the following day. Friday Dale and I went to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo in Jarrell.

This week as been uneventful. I’m enjoying running a bit in the mornings since my bicycle needs repairs. I also had scans at the orthodontist for my $1,000 splint to help with my jaw issues. We’ll see if that works!
