Back in Texas and Full of Thanksgiving!
Dale and I are back in Texas! We had a good drive home from North Carolina. The halfway mark was Meridian, Mississippi, where we stopped and had dinner with my oldest brother and his wife. He has worked at the Naval Air Station there for many years.
The next morning we once again hit the road, and made it to my other brother’s house in Rusk County Texas. For the next two days we enjoyed spending time with him, his wife and several of their grandchildren. The last leg of our journey took us to our oldest daughter’s house in Argyle.
C&Z bought this home during the summer and it was perfect for a large family gathering. All of our kids, and their spouses, were there for Thanksgiving.
The following day we attended Argyle High School’s playoff game so we could see our granddaughter playing in the band. They didn’t march but it was a good time. On Saturday we celebrated November birthdays. J’s fiancé and his dog Pacho joined us for another great family day.
On Sunday we went to church with our kids. They attend the Village Church in Flower Mound. The music and message were really good, and I got to meet Jen Wilkins!
