QuikTrip: Beaver Lake and Pack Square Park

Friday evening, after Dale finished working, we decided to attempt to have a picnic at Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary. We swung by Ingles and grabbed a sandwich to add to our chips and drinks then headed to the lake. It was a very nice walk, but not the best location for a picnic. It was hot, humid with plenty of insects. So, we headed to Pack Square Park and found a place on the grass to eat and people watch.

Pack Square has been functioning as the center of Asheville for over 300 years, and before that as Cherokee American Indian land. In the last two photos below you can see the same build tall building. You can spend a few hours walking around all the downtown businesses in that area, but we decide to head home.
